NJ SA Professional Resources
Welcome to the home page of Sexaholics Anonymous of New Jersey for the Professional.

About Sexaholics Anonymous of New Jersey

Sexaholics Anonymous of New Jersey is a 12 Step recovery program based on the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous. SA is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover.

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop lusting and become sexually sober. There are no dues or fees for SA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions.

SA of New Jersey has over 40 meetings weekly throughout the state. We also sponsor day-long conferences, an annual day of spiritual renewal, and weekend regional and international conferences. Anonymity and confidentiality are basic traditions of our program.

SA is not sex therapy or group therapy and offers no treatment of any kind. Our primary purpose is to stay sexually sober and help others to achieve sexual sobriety.

For the Helping Professional

Are you a "helping professional," and are you working with someone who may be suffering from this addiction? If so, we invite you to email us for additional information, or call us at 800 739 2465.

Who do we mean by "helping professionals?" Anyone who works professionally with others to support their spiritual, mental, and/or physical health. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Counselors
  • Therapists
  • Psychologists
  • Psychiatrists and other doctors
  • Ministers
  • Priests
  • Rabbis
  • Other clergy

Fellowship members are available to speak to you by phone and to discuss the program at professional conferences. We also have pamphlets geared to the professional about sexual addiction and the SA program, as well as information and contacts for SA meetings in New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.

Your confidentiality is assured.

Sexuality, Addiction, and the Internet

Our experience tells us that the use of the Internet has become a major avenue of sexual addiction for both men and women, young and old, married and single -- persons from all walks of life. We also know that the inappropriate use of the Internet is a major challenge for the helping professional and the individuals and families they serve.

We invite you to find out more about Sexaholics Anonymous of New Jersey. Please email us or call us at 732 886 2142.
